…in one living God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
…in the authority of God’s Word over our lives through scripture.
…humankind is created in the image of God as free moral persons.
…that new life in Christ free from the guilt and penalty of sin, is given to all who believe.
…in The Church. Who are the people of God, who exist to fulfill the purposes of God in Christ.
Living Tower Church is blessed to have an engaged congregation that is eager to spread the word of God. We are led by strong Pastoral leadership and Executive Team that bring years of knowledge in the Free Methodist Faith.
Ebenezer Appiagyei – (pronounced ah-PEE- uh -jay) is originally from Ghana. He comes from a Christian home, but Ebenezer had a different plan and ambition. Growing up, Ebenezer was curious about religion. He investigated various forms of worship. Ebenezer re-dedicated his life to the Lord as a freshman in college. As a student, he embarked on missionary trips to remote and dangerous parts of Ghana and planted churches with the Assemblies of God, Ghana.
After graduation, Ebenezer relocated to the United States on July 07, 1998. A product of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ghana, Ebenezer wanted to continue his legal education in the United States. Still, the Lord had a different plan for him. In November 2003, Ebenezer suspended his desire to pursue law and enrolled in a Theological Seminary. He attended Methodist Theological School in Ohio, graduating with a Master of Divinity, concentration in Parish and pastoral Counseling Ministry. He is an Ordained Elder/Pastor in the Free Methodist Church of the U.S.A., North America.
Ebenezer has held different positions in ministry in the Ohio Conference of the Free Methodist Church. He was part of the Conference Leadership from 2018-2019, the Conference Ministerial Education Committee from 2018-2023, and Associate Pastor and Senior Pastor of several churches in the United States. He was an Associate Pastor for Living Hope Free Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio, Senior Pastor of Life Outreach Church, a Free Methodist Church Plant Project, and the Senior Pastor of Warren New Hope Free Methodist Church. Ebenezer was a Senior Pastor from August 2008 to May 2019. Ebenezer is a Minister by vocation and a Trial Attorney by Profession. He has worked with law firms in the Public and Private sectors as an Attorney. Ebenezer Appiagyei was recently appointed as the Senior Pastor for Living Tower Free Methodist Church in Aurora, Colorado, by The River Conference. Ebenezer loves God, family, and Community. Ebenezer is married to Angelina, his sweetheart, for twenty-three years. The two have three children together: Mary Ann, Michael, and Victoria. Carol is a Colorado native, born in Brighton, raised in Aurora where she resides. She married Bryan Swank of Elizabeth and they adopted two children. From those children she boasts 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Carol has been active in various ministries since she and her husband gave their lives to Christ in 1968. In addition to ministries in the Church, she participated in Prison Ministry for 20 years as well as volunteering with Hospice. Her passion is teaching and currently leads two Bible studies. Last year she felt God was leading her in the direction of Ordination. She is presently studying with Asbury Seminary and will complete those courses in August 2022. Obviously her motto is “It is never too late”. When you are obedient to God’s call, He always makes a way!
She has been serving at Living Tower Church since 2000.
Herb and Betty Higman are both Colorado natives, Herb from Cortez and Betty from Eagle. We met in 1964 in Denver and were married in 1965. We both accepted Jesus as our personal savior in 1973. We were a part of the Gideons and acquired a respect for the Bible as the inerrant word of God.
We joined the free Methodist church in 1974. And have been members since. Our objective now is to be a faithful witness for God and to spread the good news that Jesus is the only way for eternal life.
Paul McCabe has been a member and a vital part of the Living Tower community for the last 25 years. He has done everything from running sound on Sunday morning, to playing with the worship team, working with the youth, and keeping our building looking good. Paul’s newest ministry is adding a pickleball court at the church. We now have a good sized group that meets every Thursday morning.
Paul’s claim to fame is climbing every 14er in Colorado at least twice and some a lot more than that. Colorado is in his blood and Christ is the King of his heart.
We both came from Christian families and accepted Jesus as our Saviour in childhood. This has guided us in education, career, and in our family lives. Shortly after our marriage we began missionary service to Central African hospitals with the Free Methodist Church. That experience broadened our understanding of the world.
We have been a part of the Living Tower Church since about 1998, and we consider it our church home. Currently Tom serves as the Trustee for the church and Kathy leads a women’s Bible study.

Born in Casper, Wyoming (so technically not a native) Jackie grew up in Denver from the age of 6 months. Born again at the age of 15, as a child she had been raised Lutheran , then got involved with Assembly of God. She began attending Living Tower Church in 2022 following the pandemic , after realizing virtual Christianity wasn’t for her. She is very excited at finding many opportunities to serve the Lord with such a wonderful community of huggable believers. She currently lives in Aurora with her husband, Bill, and 3 cats , Mamakitty and her 2 kittens, Mittens and Max (discovered at the neighbor’s empty house).
